    CO2 measurement of synthetic biogas by passing it through dilute NaOH solution

    Abstract
    The feasibility of measuring CO2 content in biogas was evaluated in this research. Firstly, Curtipot pH simulator was used to visualize the titration behaviors of various percentages of dissolved CO2 in a wide range of concentration of NaOH solution. As a general output of those simulations, it was shown that when the titration curves of different CO2 content samples are separated enough, titration can provided precise information about the value of dissolved CO2. In addition, when the ratio of molar concentration of NaOH to the molar concentration of CO2 is in the range of 1 to 2(equivalent to stoichiometric ratio of bi-carbonate and carbonat), the separability of the curves is enough...

    By creating constant volume combustion, the rotating detonation chamber increases efficiency compared to conventional constant pressure chambers. The RDC is smaller and mechanically more straightforward than the other detonation chambers, such as the pulse chamber. In the current research, an RDC with an outer diameter of 76 mm and an inner diameter of 64 mm, using hydrogen and air as fuel and oxidizer, has been successfully tested and data collected in the laboratory. An ensemble machine learning model is implemented to forecast ROP based on drilling reports. The model is evaluated using metrics like RMSE and optimized with contour plots depicting expected trends based on weight on bit (WOB) and rotational speed per minute (RPM).     Thermal conductivity of nanofluids plays key rol in heat transfer capacity of fluids. adding nanoparticles to a base fluid can lead to enhancement in thermal conductivty ratio. CuO/Ethyle Glycol (EG) is one of the most applicable nanofluids for heat transfer purposes.     Comparison of the traditional linear heating method of TPD with an original stepwise heating scheme was reported for the first time. Stepwise heating TPD was carried out by keeping the temperature constant as soon as ammonia desorption signal rises until the signal returns to the baseline. More ammonia desorption peaks on a SAPO-34 catalyst were identified using TPD with stepwise heating. The effect of temperature ramp on desorption peak broadening in TPD curve was also addressed.     Hydrocracking is one of the most versatile petroleum refining processes for production of valuable products including gasoline, gas oil, and jet fuel. In this paper, a five-parameter continuous lumping model was used for kinetic modeling of hydrocracking of vacuum gas oil (VGO). The model parameters were estimated from industrial data obtained from a fixed bed reactor operating at an average temperature of 400°C and residence time of 0.3 h.     Real-time impulse noise suppression from images using an efficient weighted-average filtering

    Abstract
    In this letter, we propose a method for real-time high density impulse noise suppression from images. In our method, we first apply an impulse detector to identify the corrupted pixels and then employ an innovative weighted-average filter to restore them. The filter takes the nearest neighboring interpolated image as the initial image and computes the weights according to the relative positions of the corrupted and uncorrupted pixels. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the best existing methods in both PSNR measure and visual quality and is quite suitable for real-time applications

    Low silicon content SAPO-34 was successfully synthesized using the conventional hydrothermal crystallization in the static condition. Effects of different synthesis conditions including crystallization temperature and the silicon source were investigated through X-ray diffraction patterns. It was concluded that the silicon source had a significant effect on silicon incorporation into the alumino-phosphate building blocks in the course of crystallization.
