  8. Magnetometry has always been an important topic in physics, and numerous methods have been developed to measure the magnetic properties of materials. However, performing magnetometry at the microscale—especially in single-particle systems and on biological systems—remains fundamentally challenging. In this study, optical tweezers were used as a precise tool to investigate the magnetic interactions of particles under the influence of an external magnetic field, with the aim of assessing the potential and capability of this method as a means for magnetometry and studying magnetic interactions at the microscale. In this context, the behavior of magnetic particles in the presence of the field was examined, and the effect of the magnetic field generated by the optical trap on the orientation and magnetic properties of these particles was studied. In addition to the experimental investigations, the behavior of the system was simultaneously modeled using numerical simulations to achieve a more detailed understanding of the mechanisms governing the interactions and the experimental outcomes. The findings of this study indicate that the magnetic field of the laser in the optical trap interacts with magnetite-containing magnetic particles in the performed experiment, affecting both their orientation and the magnitude of their magnetic moment—behavior that was previously unexpected in the magnetic response of materials at optical frequencies
