- Abstract:
- With the development of technology and the increase in the global need for energy, the drilling of oil and gas wells moves towards deep and ultra-deep waters, and since the drilling fluid plays an important role in the drilling operations, it requires drilling fluid with the characteristics It is a suitable function to overcome the serious challenges of drilling, including low temperature rheology and borehole heat transfer problems in these areas. The purpose of carrying out this research on the design of water-based and emulsion-based protective fluids is to use laboratory materials and equipment and conduct appropriate tests in order to evaluate the observations and tests performed in order to optimize. At the end of research two water based fluid a) contains xanthan polymer with a concentration of 2 grams, along with 3.5 grams of glycerol and salt. With a heat transfer coefficient of 0.632 W/m.K, heat capacity of 6.86 J/g.c, and as a result, a thermal diffusion coefficient of 1.0055 cm2/s. b) containing polymer well-sweep with a concentration of 2.5 grams and 3.5 grams of salt. With a heat transfer coefficient of 0.62 W/m.K, the heat capacity is 6.12 J/g.c, and as a result, the heat transfer coefficient is 1.011 cm2/s They are introduced as low weight and optimal fluids, The presence of foam in fluids is a positive factor in terms of heat transfer and fluid insulation, due to the high rheological parameters and YP/PV index at low temperature, the fluids are suitable for the transfer of drilling debris and cleaning, and due to the biodegradability of the additives used, they are also controlled from an environmental point of view, considering the properties Physicochemical water of the Caspian Sea The amount of salt is proportional to the measured values. and in terms of the freezing point, optimization has been done and the addition of glycerol also reduces the freezing point of the liquid due to its low freezing point, the special achievement of this research is a) the introduction of two polymers xanthan and well-sweep and the addition of glycerol as biodegradable additives b) the introduction of flux with a thermometer to evaluate the heat capacity. In order to find out the performance indicators of drilling fluid in deep water conditions, many researches have been done and five indicators of low temperature rheology, freezing temperature, environment, well stability and heat transfer are introduced and special topics have been presented to evaluate drilling fluid for use in deep water
