  4. Abstract:
  5. The main purpose of the present research is to use a developed analogy between compressible and incompressible governing equations in order to extend incompress¬ible procedures to solve compressible flows. The investigation is performed for different pressure-based incompressible approaches mainly control-volume-based. The chosen in¬compressible methods are a multi-grid procedure on a collocated grid distribution, a SIMPLE-based method on a non-staggered grid, and a SIMPLE-based approach on a staggered grid arrangement. The final results for the developed compressible procedure are presented for one of the preceding incompressible methods based on the best incom¬pressible performance obtained by using them. © 2000 by M.
