  7. Abstract:
  8. Shear wall systems are one of the most commonly used lateral load resistant systems in structures. Duo to preventing immoderate residual displacements after strong earthquakes in these structures and its enormous repairment costs, a novel lateral force resistant system were proposed. In this research self-centered post-tensioned shearwalls known as hybrid shearwalls with post-tensioned tendons and energy dissipator mild rebars were used in concrete structures and seismic behaviour of these structures were studied. In this new system tendons provided essential restoring force in shearwalls and structures to bring them back to theirs vertical shape. Also energy dissipators squandered earthquakes energy with yeilding of mild rebars. For study of seismic behaviour in concrete structure with self centered shearwalls 3D modeling in opensees program were used. In numerical modellings nonlinear cyclic quasi-statics analysis and nonlinear time history analysis were utensiled for studying of structure’s elements bahaviour. For invastigating on seismic behaviour of concrete structures with post-tensioned shearwalls 150 nonlinear time history analysis on varied 3D concrete structures with changing differnet effective parameters on self centring and hybrid searwalls perfomance such as increasing tendons area , increasing initial prestressing , different locations of tendons and increasing energy dissipator rebars were conducted. In the end it was concluded that concrete structures with self centered shearwalls have suprior seismic perfomance with significant decrease in residual drifts in comparison of structures with conventional shearwalls. Moreover among different effective parameters on self centring and shearwalls perfomance with considering tendon’s stresses and gap opening and other aspects were concluded that increasing tendon area had the most effect and best behaviour and after that was increasing energy dissipators rebar’s area duo to better control in gap opening an reducing stresses in tendons and other rebars. In the following was increasing tendons initial prestressing with considaration about tendon stresses in strong ground motions and finally changing tendons location was the least effective parameter
