  8. In recent decades with the increasing in competitive business environment and globalization of markets, Optimization gone beyond the level of organization and reached the level of supply chain. So far, numerous models of how organizations collaborate together have been developed. In this regard, CPFR model can be regarded as one of the most popular methods. Articles published after 2000 showed the lack of CPFR model and to overcome this, a concept known as Collaborative Transportation Management (CTM) was introduced. In this model, carriers are considered as strategic member and a lot of information gets shared with them. Because of the emerging of this concept, A little research has been done on its performance and This issue prepared way for more research in this area.
    In this study, two questions have been answered. The first question is that what is the effect of Collaborative Transportation Management on supply chain performance? In the next step whip effect due CTM, has been investigated. Due to the high complexity of the problem studied, and Being a NP-Hard problem, it was considered that simulation tools Be used to answer these questions. The results of this study could help decision makers to determine how to collaborate with carriers. The results showed that the use of the CTM reduces chain costs and increase service level and increase the use of capacity of the carriers. Addition CTM has large effect in reducing the whip effect
