  7. Abstract:
  8. Video encryption algorithms have become an important field of research nowadays. As the increasing rate of employing videos in commerce and other visual applications , the security of video data is becoming more vital. A digital media can be transmitted easily in real time everywhere at any time due to the advanced development of communications, Internet and multimedia technology. As a result information availability has increased naturally with the introduction of mobile devices. However, this availability faces with the problem of maintaining the security of information that is transmitted in public channels.
The new version of video coding standard that is called High Efficient Video Coding (HEVC) is introduced in Jan 2013. In this standard compression rate is improved about 50% compared with AVC (Advanced Video Coding). This feature and other valuable features in this standard will increase its usage in public and commercial applications in near future. One of undeniable needs for public application and commercial of this standard is encryption. There are several methods for selective encryption in AVC that do not have enough influence on video. In this thesis we proposed three selective encryption methods of spatial information that each of them has effective influence in the coded videos. In these methods, the PSNR of the decoded encrypted frames are reduced between 8 dB to 11 dB
