Having an efficient and reliable system for oil-water separation is of crucial importance in oil and gas industry. Hydrocyclones have been used for more than a century to separate oil from water as well as sand from liquid or gas. The main objectives of this research are as follows: Determination the hydrocyclone principle of operation, based on computational fluid dynamic simulations.
