, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Modarres Yazdi, Mohammad (Supervisor)
Abstract
This paper investigates the interaction between the beneficiaries of an employee stock option plan within a Stackelberg game framework. The beneficiaries are shareholders and employees. In the proposed model, shareholders, as the leaders of the Stackelberg game, determine the optimal features of employee stock option grants. In response, employees, the followers of the proposed Stackelberg game, maximize their own profits by determining their own effort level by considering that every effort level of employees has an associated cost and expected income for employees. It is assumed that the stock price follow Geometric Brownian Motion process with a known drift rate and volatility. Also, it...
Swirl Injector Modeling for Cryogenic Propulsion
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Morad, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Flow analysis in and out of the pressure-swirl injector in supercritical condition is investigated in this thesis. These injectors widely are used in different industries such gas turbine combustion chamber and liquid fuel rockets. Flow simulation in these injectors is so complex because of existence of gas core in axial region and high swirl and axial speeds in injectors. Unlike subcritical condition, droplet and ligament don’t form in supercritical condition so injector performance represents with two parameters including liquid film thickness in vortex chamber and liquid spreading angle. Mass flow, geometric constant, length and the distance between tangential inlet and injector head, are...

Abstract
Asparagainase is a therapeutic enzyme which has been a subject of research for decades. The enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of the amide group in asparagine and similar amides. Altering the substrate specificity and stabilization of this enzyme can increase its therapeutic properties. Moreover, asparaginases may be evolved to catalyze the hydrolysis of other similar compounds. These can be achieved through directed evolution and computational methods. In this study, the gene encoding L-asparaginase II enzyme from E. coli was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and was cloned into an expression vector. The recombinant protein was expressed by an appropriate host secreting the...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Farrahi, Gholamhossein (Supervisor) ; Yousefi, Reza (Supervisor)
Abstract
The quest for increasing the efficiency of internal combustion engines is going on since the invention of automobile in the world. Wear between cylinder and ring is one of the major parameters reducing the engine performance. So many parameters are affecting the wear losses. Temperature plays a key role on the severity of wear condition in internal combustion engines. In conventional cast iron cylinders, we are not able to increase the temperature from a defined level; one reason is that the wear rate on cylinder ring contact will increase excessively. One of the major benefits of using ceramic coating is their ability to withstand in higher temperatures, while having adequate hardness to...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Ashtiani, Farid (Supervisor)
Abstract
Having special advantages over existing networks, mesh networks have attracted much attention. Proposing new MAC protocols which are in compliance with these networks is an interesting field in which many works have been done. Also, Task Group S of the IEEE802.11 is going to release a standard for the mesh networks. Analysis of a simplified version of IEEE802.11s is the first goal of this thesis. The standard is a spectrum sharing algorithm based on scheduling and contention. Although IEEE802.11e manages the contention for accessing the wireless medium in the standard, but for the sake of simplicity, in this thesis we used SlottedALOHA instead. Also, one gateway and six other nodes are...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Aref, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor) ; Ahmadi, Siavash (Co-Supervisor)
Abstract
In an age where Android malware is quickly multiplying and obfuscation is becoming increasingly advanced, safety in the Android ecosystem has emerged as one of the biggest problems in current information technology. Reflection can be considered one of the most robust and harmful obfuscation strategies, as it alters the call graph as well as hides important execution paths. Most malware detection frameworks, such as MsDroid, are susceptible to this type of obfuscation, allowing significant decrease in abilities to accurately identify malicious behavioral patterns. In this research, we introduce a new architecture to improve malware detection against reflection-based obfuscation. The...

Application of Adversarial Training in Medical Signals
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Rabiee, Hamid Reza (Supervisor) ; Rohban, Mohammad Hossein (Supervisor)
Abstract
Recent success of Deep Learning models, resulted in their evergrowing application in many fields. However these models usually require huge datasets, which can sometimes be hard to collect. One of the challenges related to medical data, is the Batch Effect; Medical data is usually gathered through multiple experiments. Each experiment might have a slightly different conditions than the other, resulting a shift in the data related to that batch. Batch effects can have more severe impact during testing time, as the shift in the data distribution could be bigger. Many methods have been proposed to reduce or remove the effect of external conditions on data distribution.Deep Learning models have...
