Abstract
A very efficient and mild procedure for the trimethylsilylation of a wide variety of alcohols, including primary, allylic, benzylic, secondary, hindered secondary, tertiary, and phenols with hexamethyldisilazane on the surface of silica gel dispersed with LiClO4 in room temperature at few minutes in excellent yields under neutral conditions is reported. This procedure also allows the excellent selectivity under LP-SiO2 system for silylation of alcohols in the presence of amine and phenolic hydroxy groups

Enzymatic decolorization of the monoazo dye, acid orange 7 (AO7) by the fungal peroxidase from Coprinus cinereus NBRC 30628 is a complex system, which is greatly affected by temperature, pH, enzyme activity and the concentrations of H2O2 and dye concentration. The study of these factors and investigating the combined interactions between them by applying one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT) method and two other statistical methods including 2-factorial method and response surface methodology (RSM) were aimed in this work. Robotic devices are traditionally actuated by hydraulic systems or electric motors. However, in compact robotic systems, new actuator technologies are required. Ionic Polymer-Metal Composites (IPMCs) are attractive electroactivc polymer actuators because of their characteristics of large electrically induced bending, mechanical flexibility, low excitation voltage, low density, and ease of fabrication. A dynamic analytical model of IPMC is developed in this study. An RC model is employed based on time response results of a typical silver deposited IPMC. Abstract
Coprinus cinereus (NBRC 30628) peroxidase was implemented to eliminate the diazo dye of reactive black 5 (RB5). The optimization was conducted in batch mode using three approaches, i.e., the one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT), factorial design, and response surface methodology (RSM). Based on the results of the OFAT method, the optimum conditions for decolorization of RB5 dye were at a temperature of 30°C, a pH of 9-10, an H2O2 concentration of 3.9 mM, and an RB5 concentration of 40 mg/L. A new predictive model for evaluating the vibration of a sawing machine was developed using a new rock classification system. The predictors are machine parameters and a rock sawability index. The new rock classification system includes four major parameters of the rock: uniaxial compressive strength, abrasivity index, mean Moh's hardness, and Young's modulus. In this study a hydractive suspension system is designed for a passenger car. By using a mathematical validated model with eight degrees of freedom for a vehicle which is equipped with hydractive suspension, optimal damping forces derived for suspension system on the base of optimal control theory which uses linear quadratic regulators for improving ride comfort of vehicle and saves vehicles stability at the same time. Data aggregation is a technique that is used to decrease extra and repetitive data in cluster based routing protocols. As we know SPEED routing algorithm is based on service quality and dose not perform data aggregation. In this study two-dimensional finite element models of Al/SiC metal matrix composites (MMC) by using of ABAQUS Explicit software are investigated. Chip formations and machining forces for three types of MMC with 5, 15 and 20% of SiC reinforcement particles were studied and compared with experimental data. The resulted chips in simulation and the generated chips in experiments have both continuous and saw tooth in appearance. On the other hand, the variation of the cutting forces with the cutting time in simulation and experiment have fluctuating diagram. The current study assesses the influences of support parameters on the cracked rotor response for passing through critical speeds. Abstract
Ce-doped ZnO nanocomposite thin films with Ce/Zn ratio fixed at optimum value (10 at.%) have been prepared via sol-gel method at different annealing temperatures varied from 180 to 500 °C. The synthesized samples were characterized employing atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. According to AFM analysis, the average grain size increased from about 70 nm to 150 nm by increasing the annealing temperature from 300 to 500 °C. Feature coding has received great attention in recent years as a building block of many image processing algorithms. In particular, the importance of the locality assumption in coding approaches has been studied in many previous works. We review this assumption and claim that using the similarity of data points to a more global set of anchor points does not necessarily weaken the coding method, as long as the underlying structure of the anchor points is considered. Abstract
We study the effect of boron (B) and phosphorous (P) doping and B/P codoping on electronic and optical properties of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4 or GCN) monolayers using density functional simulations. The energy band structure indicates that the incorporation of both B and P into a hexagonal lattice of GCN reduces the energy band gap from 3.1 for pristine GCN to 1.9 eV, thus extending light absorption toward the visible region.
