Abstract
Auction is one of the most important and oldest institutions in economics, enabling resource allocation and trade of goods in the economy. Investigating the effects of changes in reservation price in auctions is an important question in auction theory research. In this study, focusing on a policy implemented by Yektanet, which involved altering the reservation price in auctions for advertising slots, we assessed its impact on advertiser costs. Abstract
Rapid and selective detection of biomarkers at trace levels is a highly coveted objective in the early diagnosis of cancer. Herein, we disclose the design and synthesis of a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) substituted perylene diimide. This compound is fully characterized in solution by multi nuclear NMR, as well as in gas state by ESI-MS. Surprisingly, solid-state characterization revealed an unusual cubic morphology with particle dimensions of 80–160 nm. Fluorescence studies indicate that the bulky POSS units effectively prevent perylene's aggregation caused quenching, yielding quantum yields as high as 92%. Recently, electrode-based Dielectrophoresis (eDEP) has been used for particle manipulation by means of triangular electrodes. In this theoretical and numerical study, a microchannel with quarter-of-ellipse electrodes is presented and a detailed comparison with triangular electrodes is provided. Electric field, resultant DEP force, and particle trajectories for each microchannel are evaluated by means of COMSOL Multiphysics 4.4. In this research work, graphene/cobalt nanocomposites are functionalized with polyethylene glycol (PEG) to be a platform for theranostics application and antibacterial activity. The non-covalent functionalization of PEG on the surfaces of nanocomposites improved their stability and diminished their cytotoxicity. Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of methotrexate (MTX), an anticancer drug, is critical since MTX therapy can lead to severe adverse effects if not monitored to ensure clearance.
