    Abstract
    This paper addresses a model-based audio content analysis for classification of speech-music mixed audio signals into speech and music. A set of new features is presented and evaluated based on sinusoidal modeling of audio signals. The new feature set, including variance of the birth frequencies and duration of the longest frequency track in sinusoidal model, as a measure of the harmony and signal continuity, is introduced and discussed in detail. These features are used and compared to typical features as inputs to an audio classifier.     Abstract
    In this paper, a new feature set is presented and evaluated based on sinusoidal modeling of audio signals. Duration of the longest sinusoidal model frequency track, as a measure of the harmony, is used and compared to typical features as input into an audio classifier. The performance of this sinusoidal model feature is evaluated through classification of audio to speech and music using both the GMM and the SVM classifiers. Classification results show the proposed feature, which could be used for the first time in such an audio classification, is quite successful in speech/music classification.     Abstract
    In this paper, a set of features is presented and evaluated based on sinusoidal modeling of audio signals. Amplitude, frequency, and phase parameters of the sinusoidal model are used and compared as input features into an audio classifier system. The performance of sinusoidal model features is evaluated for classification of audio into speech and music classes using both the Gaussian and the GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model) classifiers.     Abstract
    This paper presents an FPGA-based fault injection tool, called FITO that supports several synthesizable fault models for dependability analysis of digital systems modeled by Verilog HDL. Using the FITO, experiments can be performed in real-time with good controllability and observability. As a case study, an OpenRISC 1200 microprocessor was evaluated using an FPGA circuit. About 4000 permanent, transient, and SEU faults were injected into this microprocessor. The results show that the FITO tool is more than 79 times faster than a pure simulation-based fault injection with only 2.5% FPGA area overhead. © 2008 IEEE

    This article presents the design and implementation of a microcontroller-based system for the automatic movement of control rods in nuclear reactors of either power or research types.     A new method for image registration has been previously proposed by the authors, which the registration is based on physical forces. The registration parameters are translation and rotation. This method assumes images like charged materials that attract each other. In this case, one of the images moves in the same direction as the applied force while the other one is still. The movement of the image continues until the resultant force becomes zero.     Abstract
    This paper presents an analysis of the effects and propagation of faults in the open-core 32-bit OpenRISC 1200 microprocessor. The analysis is based on a total of 13,000 transient faults injected into 65 parts of the CPU module in the OpenRISC 1200 core described at the RTL model. A comparison of the effects of faults on the various parts of the CPU including the pipeline's registers, the CPU component such as the register file, the control unit, and the ALU, and the data and address buses is done. It is shown that about 30%, 40% and 27% of injected faults terminated in address, data, and control errors respectively. About 28% of all injected faults resulted in failures. © 2008 IEEE

The structure and morphology of Fe-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.     Abstract
    In this study, a laboratory-scale biotrickling filter (BTF) is used to remove Triethylamine (TEA) from gaseous wastes. The BTF is made of stainless steel with a height of 210 cm and an internal diameter of 21 cm packed with lava rocks. TEA elimination pattern was evaluated by changing empty bed residence times (EBRTs). The maximum elimination capacity (EC) has been determined to be 87 g/m3/h. At all EBRTs 52, 31, 20, and 10 s, contaminant transferring from gas phase to liquid was more than the EC. Also, the removal efficiency was 100 % for a mass loading of 100 g/m3/h. The methods are general control schemes which can generate the online motions for walking of a humanoid robot.
