Numerical Modeling of Dynamic Instability in Soil Slopes and its Effect on the Response of Buried Pipelines

Abstract
In this study, three dimensional analysis of soil slopes subjected to dynamic loading was conducted in order to investigate the interaction of soil-pipe system. For modeling of soil behavior, strain-dependent nonlinear elasticity along with Mohr-Coulomb plasticity was defined to the material and elasto-plastic behavior was used for the pipes. For dynamic modeling of soil slopes and analysis of buried pipelines, a Finite-Element-based software, ABAQUS was utilized. Pressing and Sintering of Ce-Tzp-Al¬2o3 Nanocomposite with a High Percent of Alumina And Investigation of Sinter Condition on Morphology

Abstract
In this project alumina-zirconia-ceria nanocomposite with 80% mol alumina (0.2Ce0.1Zr0.9O2-0.8Al2O3) was produced by solution combustion synthesis method. In the mentioned method, optimal fuel with composition of 75% urea, 25% ammonium acetate, and stoichiometric amount of glycine (0.75U-0.25AA-1G) was used. Moreover, ammonium nitrate as aid combustion was added to optimal fuel. In order to calcinations, nanopowder obtained from combustion synthesis was heated to 500°C for 1 hour and kept at this temperature for 2 hours. Abstract
In this study, application of Limit Equilibrium (LE) and Finite Element Model (FEM) analyses have been presented and discussed for support design of a 30-m deep excavation in Tehran. A combination of nailing and strand anchorage with block system were designed and used to support the vertical cut in multiple steps of excavation. In this regard, safety factors have been assessed based on LEM using Mohr-Coulomb model, while deformations were estimated using the Hardening Soil model in an FEM platform. Recovery of heavy metals from Hydrocracking spent catalyst was studied in a bioreactor by Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans. At first adaptation of microorganisms was done with spent catalyst in shaker flask. Using central composite design (CCD) the experiments were conducted in order to find optimized condition. Three factors such as particle size, pulp density and aeration rate were examined. Reduced cubic models were established to identify the relationship between the recovery percent of the metals and the variables. This paper presents results of a comprehensive study on the dynamic behavior of a calcite cemented gravelly sand. The focus of this study is on the shear modulus and damping ratio, as two of the most commonly used parameters in dynamic analysis of soil behavior, and the effect of calcite cementation on their variations. In this study, Porous NiTi shape memory alloy has been produced by mechanical alloying of the elemental Ni and Ti powders. The compacting process was done at two temperatures (warm and cold press) and then sintering at 980 and 1050°C was performed on the specimens. To improve the thermal stability of starch in water-based drilling fluid, monoethanolamine (MEA) was added, and the effect was investigated by laboratory experiment. The experimental results show that the addition of monoethanolamine (MEA) increases the apparent viscosity, plastic viscosity, dynamic shear force, and static shear force of the drilling fluid, and reduces the filtration rate of drilling fluid and thickness of mud cake apparently. By creating hydrogen bonds with starch polymer, the monoethanolamine can prevent hydrolysis of starch at high temperature.
