    Internet traffic classification is important in many aspects of network management such as data exploitation detection, malicious user identification, and restricting application traffic. Previously, features such as port and protocol numbers have been used to classify traffic, but these features can now be changed easily, making their use in traffic classification inadequate.     It has been previously revealed that the stability and the monotonicity of step response in an integer-order LTI system are two specifications, which are preserved in its fractional counterparts possessing commensurate orders between zero and one. In this paper, it is shown that the monotonicity of magnitude-frequency is another specification which is inherited from integer-order systems to their commensurate order counterparts.     This paper presents a novel method to estimate the design parameters of a diaphragm thermoacoustic Stirling engine and investigate the stable limit cycle (sufficient condition) of the engine dynamic using the genetic algorithm and system energy changes. In this regard, first, the parametric equations are extracted by employing both the governing equations of the engine and energy standpoint.     In this thesis, various fractional order controllers (FOCs), e.g., FO-PID, FO-TID, CRONE and FO-Lead/Lag, are implemented using PLC. For this purpose first, several methods are used to approximate the differentiator and integral operators. Based on these methods, the equivalent rational transfer functions of the fractional order controllers are obtained. Then, using STEP7 software, the FOCs are implemented in Siemens PLC. Moreover, to facilitate the use of the implemented FOCs in the industry and to take full advantage of the controllers, WinCC software as an interface between human and machine (HMI) is used.
