    As petroleum resources are not steadily distributed in the world and all industries and manufacturing sections are dependent on these resources, petroleum transportation is very important to the extent that availability of these resources occurs in the fastest time and costing the least possible. The objective of this study is to study the petroleum distribution through time in the world and assess its transportation efficacy during 1965-2005 in 173 countries.     Photo-induced growth of silver nanoparticles using UV sensitivity of cellulose fibers

    Abstract
    A simple method has been demonstrated to grow silver nanoparticles on the surface of cellulose fibers. The preparation is based on photo-activation of surface by ultraviolet (UV) photons, followed by chemical reduction of silver nitrate. It is found that the concentration of silver nitrate in the solution is not a determining factor, while UV intensity affects the rate of initial growth and determines the final concentration of the loaded silver. We explain the phenomena based on a model including the number of reducing sites on the surface of cellulose fibers activated by UV photons, and a release mechanism that causes a slow rate of dissolution of silver back into the solution

    Abstract: The convection–diffusion process of carbon dioxide (CO2) dissolution in a saline reservoir is investigated to shed light on the effects of the permeability heterogeneity. Using sequential Gaussian simulation method, random permeability fields in two and three-dimension (2D and 3D) structures are generated. Quantitative (average amount of the dissolved CO2 and dissolution flux) and qualitative (pattern of the dissolved CO2 and velocity streamlines) measurements are used to investigate the results.     This study aims to develop an equation for primary drainage capillary pressure as a function of water saturation based on the porous plate model. Several empirical and semiempirical equations are available to calculate Pc-Sw. The results of the previous equations are not ideal, so this is an attempt to present an accurate equation to calculate Pc-Sw based on governing theoretical physical analysis to describe two-phase immiscible displacement flow in porous media.     The present paper deals with different effects of homogenization time and cooling environment on Ni-42.5wt%Ti-7.5wt%Cu alloy. The alloy was prepared by vacuum arc melting. Afterwards, three homogenization times (half, one and two hour) and three cooling environments (water, air and furnace) at 1373 K were selected. Optical and Scanning Electron Microscopic methods, EDX, DSC and hardness tests have been used to evaluate the microstructure, transformation temperatures and hardness.     Inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathies are a group of peripheral nerve system disorders in which immune reactions are dysregulated. Cytokines have noticeable roles in the regulation of these responses. We compared transcript levels of nine cytokine coding genes namely IL-1B, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-17A, IFN-G, TGF-B and TNF-A in the peripheral blood of patients with acute and chronic kinds of this condition (AIDP and CIDP) and healthy persons.     Four 5-, 10-, 20- and 30-story moment frames, representing low-, mid-, and two high-rise structures, were subjected to a great number of idealized directivity pulses. The amplitudes and periods of pulses vary from 0.02 g to 1.0 g and 0.5 to 12 sec, respectively. Over 1400 nonlinear dynamic analyses of low- to high-rise moment frames were performed which were feasible through using modified fish-bone model.     In this article singular points of a parallel manipulator are obtained based on a novel geometrical method. Here we introduce the constrained plain method (CPM) and some of its application in parallel mechanism. Given the definition of constraint plane (CP) and infinite constraint plane (ICP) the dependency conditions of constraints is achieved with the use of a new theorem based on the Ceva geometrical theorem.     An analytical model is proposed to study the effect of particle size on melting enthalpy and entropy of metallic nanoparticles (NPs). The Mott's and Regel's equations for melting entropy in the combination of core average coordination number (CAC) and surface average coordination number (SAC) of freestanding NPs are considered.     Grinding is widely used for manufacturing of components that require fine surface finish and good dimensional accuracy. In this study a thermo-mechanical finite element analysis is conducted to find out how grinding parameters can affect temperature and residual stress distribution in the workpiece. Results of parametric study presented in this work indicate, by carefully selecting the grinding parameters, minimum thermal and mechanical damage can be achieved. Higher workpiece velocities produce higher surface residual stress. By increasing depths of cut, depth of tensile residual stresses increases.
