A mobile ad hoc network is a collection of mobile hosts forming a temporary network on the fly, without using any fixed infrastructure. Characteristics of mobile ad hoc networks such as lack of central coordination, mobility of hosts, dynamically varying network topology, and limited availability of resources make QoS provisioning very challenging in such networks. The human action recognition is one of the most important concepts of computer vision in recent decades. Most of the two dimensional methods in this field are facing serious challenges such as occlusion and missing the third dimension of data. Development of depth sensors has made easy access to tracking people and 3D positions of human body joints. The non-stationary nature of brain activity signals and their many inter-subject differences have created many challenges in the practical applications of emotion recognition based on electroencephalogram (EEG) signals, such as brain-computer interfaces. Abstract
Uniaxial compression test at different temperatures [573 K to 723 K (300 °C to 450 °C)] and strain rates (0.01 to 1 s−1) was employed to study the hot deformation behavior of an ultrafine-grained (UFG) Al6063 alloy prepared by the powder metallurgy route. The UFG alloy with an average grain size of ~0.3 µm was prepared by mechanical milling of a gas-atomized aluminum alloy powder for 20 hours followed by hot powder extrusion at 723 K (450 °C). Ad hoc wireless networks are power constrained since nodes operate with a limited battery energy. To maximize the lifetime of these networks, transactions through mobile nodes must be controlled such that the power dissipation rates of all nodes are rarely the same. In this project, a novel action recognition method, named Fisherposes, is proposed, which is improved by several space-time (spatio-temporal) methods afterwards. The proposed method utilizes skeleton data obtained from Kinect sensor. First, pre-processing is performed in which the scales of bodies are canceled and the skeletons become aligned in order to make the method robust to location, orientation, and scale of people. In this study the biodegradability of asphaltenes was investigated using four bacterial consortia isolated from oil contaminated soils and sludge. The species in consortium 1 were identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas fluorescens. Consortium 2 contained Citrobacter amalonaticus and Enterobacter cloacae. Consortium 3 contained only one species identified as Staphylococcus hominis, and the species in consortium 4 were identified as Bacillus cereus, and Lysinibacillus fusiformis.
