Objectives: To examine the changes in torque output resulting from fatigue, as well as changes in electromyographic measures of trunk muscles during isometric axial rotation and to compare these changes between directions of axial rotation. Objective: The aim of the present study was to investigate the between-days reliability of electromyographic (EMG) measurement of 6 bilateral trunk muscles and also the torque output in 3 planes during isometric right and left axial rotation at different exertion levels. Abstract
The synthesis of new dispiropyrrolidines containing a thiophenone ring has been achieved by a one-pot, three-component 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction. Unsaturated thiophenone dipolarophiles were reacted with azomethine ylides, generated in situ from sarcosine and cycloketone derivatives (isatin, ninhydrin, acenaphthoquinone), to produce the corresponding cycloadducts in good yields (70-90%). Abstract
Alaboratory testing program was conducted to investigate the effects of microstructure on the water retention curve (WRC) and wetting-drying induced volume change in loess. The axis translation and vapor equilibrium techniques were adopted to control suction in the range of 0-400 kPa and 4-140 MPa, respectively. Hysteresis in the WRC of loess was observed for the entire range of suction studied. Compared to re-compacted loess, intact loess exhibits a more pronounced hysteresis in the suction range below 20 kPa, which can be explained by the ink-bottle pore neck effect or constricted pores. In this paper, we propose a light-weight jamming-resistant scheme for the Internet-of-Things (IoT) in 5G networks to ensure high-quality communication in a two-hop cooperative network. In the tropics, high rainfalls and hot temperatures cause the formation of highly weathered acid soils with low pH buffering capacity (pHBC). Such soils are prone to nutrient losses via leaching, surface runoff, and volatilization. An efficient hybrid method is presented for the analysis of the interference phenomenon in high frequency communication circuits. The method is based on the transmission line matrix (TLM) method, augmented with a time domain integral formulation using the free space Green's function to account for the radiation of equivalent sources on boundary surfaces. To investigate the influences of microstructure changes on dilatancy of unsaturated loess at high suctions, a direct shear box device using the vapour equilibrium technique was used. Through conducting two series of direct shear tests on both intact and recompacted loess specimens and also investigating microstructural changes using the mercury intrusion porosim-etry (MIP) technique, a linear increase in dilatancy with suctions ranging from 8 to 230 MPa can be identified at different net stresses. In this paper, the Transmission Line Matrix (TLM) method is used for the electromagnetic characterization of the Shielding Effectiveness (SE) of rectangular enclosures with apertures of arbitrary shape. Applying suitable Hanning windows in the time domain drastically reduces the number of time steps required to model the coupling behavior of resonant enclosures.
