We experience the whole world as it is, without realizing that it is formed by invisible networks of beliefs, linguistic structures and bodily habits. A network that, like a personal “paradigm”, determines what we see, how we think and how we feel. In this work, the viscoelastic fluids flow and their short fiber suspensions has been modeled in contraction geometry using conformation models, these models predict behavior of polymeric chains in contraction geometry. Prediction of viscoelastic fluids flow through a contraction is very important, especially in polymer processing where a polymer melt in barrel of an extruder is going to pass through a narrow die. Abstract
This research is about raffles held by firms. Nowadays raffles are used by some firms as a mean to attract more customers and obtain more profit to the extent that they compete on their prize instead of their price. In order to investigate this phenomenon, we introduce a model based on spatial competition. This model explains the reason firms have incentive to offer raffles when consumer is risk neutral. According to this model we conclude competing on prize reduces consumers’ surplus considerably. Because of this, the intervention of policy maker can prevent the reduction in consumers’ surplus

Since the advent of conventional activated sludge biological treatment plants, their low efficiency in nitrogen and phosphorus removal has become a significant concern. Therefore, in this study, the performance of microalgal-activated sludge membrane bioreactor (MAS-MBR) as a self-biological treatment or as a post-treatment for conventional biological treatments was investigated. A continuous MAS-MBR with two ratios of algae/sludge (only microalgae and 5:1) was used to treat raw and treated wastewater. Abstract
Urease is an important target for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection. In this study, several pharmacophores for the inhibition of urease were considered and coupled to design new molecules capable of acting as potent urease inhibitors. Literature review reveals that barbituric-hydrazine, phenoxy-1,2,3-triazole, and acetamide moieties are pharmacophores for urease inhibition. Therefore, in this study, the barbituric-hydrazine-phenoxy-1,2,3-triazole-acetamide scaffold was designed and twelve derivatives 9 a–l of it were synthesized and evaluated. Abstract
In this paper, a two-link flexible manipulator is considered. For a prescribed motion, Timoshenko and Euler-Bernoulli beam models are considered. Using the Galerkin method, nonlinear equations of motion are solved. The Runge-Kutta method is employed for the time response integration method. A comparative study is made between the Euler-Bernoulli and Timoshenko beam models, with and without foreshortening effects. It is demonstrated that for two-link manipulators, both theories provide good models, and the results for both theories are very similar for all ranges of slenderness ratio. In the first model, only rotation of torsional beams of mirror is considered. In the second model, effect of bending of the torsional beams is also considered.
