Improvement of High Voltage Line Type Pulse Generator

Abstract
Pulse forming networks (PFN) simulating an open ended transmission line, are very favorable in high energy long pulses generation, because of some benefits such as limited energy storage. However, PFN drawbacks, which are low output pulse quality and constant pulse width, limit their applications. Another limitation of generating rectangle pulses using PFN is that, half of the charged voltage appears in the output when delivering the entire energy to a matched load. The limited value of the insolated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) blocking voltage is an important issue for applying these devices to the high-voltage power converters. This article proposes a high-voltage fault current limiter (HVFCL) for high-voltage dc power supplies (HVdcPSs) which limits the current of the power supply automatically in the short-circuit fault (SCF). The proposed HVFCL is based on the series-connected insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs). Clamp mode resistor capacitor diode (CMRCD) snubbers have a simple and easy implementing structure. They have been widely adopted in the pulsed power supplies to provide a safe operating condition for the series insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs). Entanglement is one of the key resources of quantum information science which makes identification of entangled states essential to a wide range of quantum technologies and phenomena.This problem is however both computationally and experimentally challenging.Here we use autoencoder neural networks to find semi-optimal measurements for detection of entangled states. We show that it is possible to find high-performance entanglement detectors with as few as three measurements. The laminar natural convection from an isothermal horizontal cylinder confined between vertical walls, at low Rayleigh numbers, is investigated by theoretical, experimental and numerical methods. The height of the walls is kept constant, however, their distance is changed to study its effect on the rate of the heat transfer. Results are incorporated into a single equation which gives the Nusselt number as a function of the ratio of the wall distance to cylinder diameter, t/D, and the Rayleigh number.
