Abstract
Cardiotocograph (CTG) is widely used in everyday clinical practice for fetal surveillance, where it is used to record fetal heart rate (FHR) and uterine activity (UA). These two biosignals can be used for antepartum and intrapartum fetal monitoring and are, in fact, nonlinear and non-stationary. CTG recordings are often corrupted by artifacts such as missing beats in FHR, high-frequency noise in FHR and UA signals. The purpose of this work is to interpret cardiotocograph recordings by estimating kubli score in order to find out the presence of antepartum morbidity in cardiotocograph (CTG) recordings. The Kubli score is a tool used to evaluate a non-stress test (NST). It works very much like an Apgar Score in that there are 5 criteria to be assessed, baseline rate, amplitude of fluctuations, frequency of fluctuations, deceleration and acceleration pattern, and each will be assigned a score of 0, 1, or 2, for a maximum total of 10. We develop a fuzzy multi-objective linear programming (FMOLP) model for solving multi-objective mixed-model assembly line problem. In practice, vagueness and imprecision of the goals in this problem make the fuzzy decision-making complicated. The proposed model considers minimizing total utility work, total production rate variation, and total setup cost, using a two-phase linear programming approach. Abstract
We propose a circularly polarized antenna with a wide axial ratio (AR) beamwidth that consists of a normally magnetized ferrite disk mounted on a ground plane. The device uses the resonant modes of the disk, which rotate only in the clockwise or counter-clockwise sense in the frequency range where the effective permeability of ferrite is negative. A semianalytical model is derived for the antenna fed by a single, conventional current probe and is validated numerically by finite element method. This paper proposes, for the first time, a tunable left handed transmission line consisting of a strip line sandwiched between a ferrite superstrate and a dielectric substrate containing a metallic wire array. The left-handed behavior is realized by combining the negative permittivity of the wire array with the negative permeability of the longitudinally magnetized ferrite substrate despite them being spatially separated.
