Abstract
This paper proposes an approach to enhance the reliability regulation based on the relative performance. In the proposed approach, the distribution system feeders are clustered based on the parameters, which cannot be controlled by distribution companies. Afterward, a reliability incentive regulation is applied to each cluster so that the performance of each feeder is compared to its counterparts in the same cluster. Pharmaceutical pollutants, such as gastrointestinal drugs, pose a significant environmental concern due to their widespread use and potential adverse effects on ecosystems. Insights obtained from computational simulations yielded a more profound grasp of the adsorption mechanism. Abstract
A family of conformational rheological models for multi-component miscible polymer blends is developed using a modified form of the Poisson bracket formulation. Two conformation tensors called c1 and c2 are introduced to show the orientation of the first and the second components of a blend, respectively. The mobility tensor and the energy function for each blend component are expressed in terms of these conformation tensors. The interaction effects are also included by energy expressions. The current research focuses on suggesting a new potential application of polymeric materials for capacitor applications by focusing on polystyrene (PS)/ethylene-α-octene copolymer (EOC) blends. Super-tough poly(lactic acid)/polycarbonate (PLA/PC) (50/50) blends with an excellent balance of stiffness, toughness, and thermal stability were systematically designed and characterized. Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) was utilized as a novel, highly effective nonreactive interphase to promote PLA-PC phase compatibility. Partial miscibility of PMMA with both PLA and PC produced strong molecular entanglements across the PLA-PC phase boundary followed by an excellent phase adhesion. Polycarboxylate superplasticizers based on acrylic acid (AA) and maleic anhydride (MAn) were synthesized via free-radical copolymerization with an ethylene glycol monomer and characterized. The vacuum sector of the Brans-Dicke theory is studied from the viewpoint of a non-conformally invariant gravitational model. Abstract
We propose an effective model for an exponentially expanding universe in the brane-world scenario. The setup consists of a 5D black hole and a brane close to the black hole horizon. In case the brane acquires a specific configuration, which we deduce from stability arguments, the induced metric outside the black hole horizon on the brane becomes de Sitter in static coordinates. Studying the Einstein equations perturbatively we find the effective gravity on the brane at this level and derive the 4D gravitational constant. The effectiveness of Islamic preaching is often hindered by the need for localized data on societal issues, which leads to lectures that may not address the community's specific needs. This study seeks to bridge this gap by developing a system that provides relevant preaching outlines tailored to issues detected within a 1 km radius of a mosque. The system incorporates data from 185 mosques and is enhanced by integrating societal issues as a feature. Traditional assignment methods often lead to inefficiencies due to misalignment between the preacher’s expertise and congregational needs, as well as logistical issues. This study integrates K-Means clustering and DBSCAN algorithms with interactive geographic visualization to optimize the assignment of preachers to mosques.
