    Attacks on a lightweight mutual authentication protocol under EPC C-1 G-2 standard

    Abstract
    Yeh et al. have recently proposed a mutual authentication protocol based on EPC Class-1 Gen.-2 standard. They claim their protocol is secure against adversarial attacks and also provides forward secrecy. In this paper we show that the proposed protocol does not have cited security features properly. A powerful and practical attack is presented on this protocol whereby the whole security of the protocol is broken. Furthermore, Yeh et al.'s protocol does not assure the untraceabilitiy and backwarduntraceabilitiy attributes. We also will propose our revision to safeguard the Yeh et al.'s protocol against cited attacks

    Abstract
    The reaction kinetics of the dehydration step of the condensation reaction between phenylhydrazine and benzaldehyde was studied spectrophotometrically in aqueous solutions of ethanol, propan-2-ol and 2-methylpropan-2-ol at pH 11.5 at 25 °C. The apparent second-order rate constants k2app of the reaction increase with mole fraction of water in all the aqueous solutions. Single-parameter correlations of log k2app versus π* (dipolarity/polarizability), α (hydrogen-bond donor acidity) and ETN (normalized polarity parameter) were obtained in all the aqueous solutions.     In this paper, we propose a new trust-region method for solving nonlinear systems of equalities and inequalities. The algorithm combines both standard and adaptive trust-region frameworks to construct the steps of the algorithm. The trust-region subproblem is solved in the first iteration using a given initial radius. Then, in each iteration, the standard trust-region method is followed whenever the current trial step is accepted, otherwise, the subproblem is resolved using an adaptive scheme.     Abstract
    CeO 2-TiO 2 nanoparticles were prepared by the sol-gel process using 2-hydroxylethylammonium formate as room-temperature ionic liquid and calcined at different temperatures (500-700°C). CeO 2-TiO 2-graphene nanocomposites were prepared by hydrothermal reaction of graphene oxide with CeO 2-TiO 2 nanoparticles in aqueous solution of ethanol. The photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction, BET surface area, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and Fourier transformed infrared techniques.     Aims. Stars twinkle because their light propagates through the atmosphere. The same phenomenon is expected on a longer time scale when the light of remote stars crosses an interstellar turbulent molecular cloud, but it has never been observed at optical wavelengths. The aim of the study described in this paper is to fully simulate the scintillation process, starting from the molecular cloud description as a fractal object, ending with the simulations of fluctuating stellar light curves.     This manuscript describes the implementation of plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (DC-PECVD) and vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) techniques to fabricate a yolk-shell SnO2@Void@C nanowire (NW) structure. SnO2 nanowires have been synthesized on the stainless steel mesh substrate through the VLS method.
