    Abstract
    In this paper, we propose a low power register file architecture for embedded processors. The proposed architecture, "Value-Aware Partitioned Register File (VAP-RF)", employs a partitioning technique that divides the register file into two partitions such that the most frequently accessed registers are stored in the smaller register partition. In our partitioning algorithm, we introduce an aggressive clock-gating scheme based on narrow-value registers to furthermore reduce power. Experimental results on an ARM processor for selected MiBench workloads show that the proposed architecture has an average power saving of 70% over generic register file structure

    Ever Increasing use of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) processors to reduce cost and time to market in embedded systems has brought significant challenges in error detection and recovery methods employing in such systems. This paper presents a software based control flow error detection and correction technique, so called branch TMR (BTMR), suitable for use in COTS-based embedded systems.     Abstract
    Scratchpad memory (SPM) is widely used in modern embedded processors to overcome the limitations of cache memory. The high vulnerability of SPM to soft errors, however, limits its usage in safety-critical applications. This paper proposes an efficient fault-tolerant scheme, called cache-assisted duplicated SPM (CADS), to protect SPM against soft errors. The main aim of CADS is to utilize cache memory to provide a replica for SPM lines. Using cache memory, CADS is able to guarantee a full duplication of all SPM lines.     Abstract
    The main aim of the present study was to enhance the degradation capacity of Acid Blue 92 (AB92) by visible-light-active Ag3PO4 nanocomposites based on g-C3N4 and Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs). The nanocomposites were fabricated through a tunable in situ deposition method. The properties of the resulting samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activity results revealed that the Ag3PO4/g-C3N4 heterojunction inorganic/organic composite exhibited an improvement in both efficiency and the rate of AB92 photodegradation in comparison with the others.     Abstract
    Software architectures and architectural styles are increasingly used for designing large-scale software systems. Alfa is a framework for the composition of style-based software architectures from a small set of primitives. It models the behavior of architectural components and connectors as orderings among events at their inputs and outputs. Formalizing such behavior is useful for checking conformance of architectures to their styles. We therefore propose a formal approach that uses data-abstract constraint automata to model the behavior of Alfa's compositions, and to verify their behavioral style conformance.     A highly efficient and simple synthesis of dithiocarbamates is possible based on the one-pot reaction of amines, CS2, and alkyl halides without using a catalyst under solvent-free conditions. The mild reaction conditions, high yields, and broad scope of the reaction illustrate the good synthetic utility of this method. The reaction is a highly atom-economic process for production of S-alkyl thiocarbamates and successfully can be used in high quantities in the pharmaceutical or agrochemical industries

This paper intends to numerically investigate the effect of ground condition on pipelines. The loading type and pipeline features are kept constant.     We report a new design of solar cells based on semiconductor quantum dots (QDs), monolithic quantum dot sensitized solar cells (MQDSCs). MQDSCs offer the prospect of having lower cost and a simpler manufacturing process in comparison to conventional double substrate QDSCs.     Aim: In this study, a nanosponge structure was synthesised with capability of encapsulating curcumin as a model polyphenolic compound and one of the herbal remedies that have widely been considered due to its ability to treat cancer. Methods: FTIR, DSC and XRD techniques were performed to confirm the formation of the inclusion complex of the nanosponge-drug. Results: DSC and XRD patterns showed an increasing stability and a decreasing crystallinity of curcumin after formation of inclusion complex.     This study was aimed at evaluating the effects of alkali activator solution and utilization of silica fume (SF) on durability and microstructural characteristics of alkali-activated ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) pastes.
