    Weighted Earliness/Tardiness Minimization in a Flow Shop Sequence-Dependent Group Scheduling

    In this research, a scheduling problem, minimizing the sum of weighted earliness/tardiness in a flow shop sequence-dependent group scheduling (FSDGS) problem, is investigated. In this problem, every job has a distinct due date, early penalty rate, and tardy penalty rate. This problem is typically classified in the literature as F_m | fmls,S_plk,prmu | ∑(w_j^1 E_j+ w_j^2 T_j). A mixed integer linear programming model is developed for the proposed research problem. As the problem is proved to be strongly NP-hard, only small-size problems can be solved with the mathematical model.     Abstract
    A numerical model based on the boundary element method is proposed for the sloshing of a flowing liquid in a three-dimensional tank. Assuming a mean flow in the tank in addition to a perturbation flow, the nonlinear boundary conditions of the liquid free-surface are linearized. Using the boundary element method along with the modal analysis technique a reduced order model is obtained which is used to calculate the fundamental sloshing frequencies and modes in the tank with an inlet and outlet.     Solid state 13C and 15N chemical shifts of uracil and imidazole have been calculated using a 2-layer ONIOM approach at 32 levels of theory. The effect of electron correlation between two layers has been investigated by choosing two different kinds of layer selection.     Platinum microparticles electrodeposited at a glassy carbon surface (Pt/GC) and within a poly-ortho-aminophenol film formed on a GC substrate (Pt/PoAP/GC) have been used for investigating their catalytic activity towards hydrogen evolution reaction and methanol oxidation by cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy and chronoamperometry.     In this research, we propose a dynamic econometric microstructure model of trading, and we investigate how the dynamics of trades and trade composition interact with the evolution of market liquidity. We estimate a bivariate generalized autoregressive intensity process for the arrival rates of informed and uninformed trades for fifty actively traded stocks in Tehran Stock Exchange over one year of transaction data. Our results show that both informed and uninformed trades are highly persistent, but that the uninformed arrival forecasts respond negatively to past forecasts of the informed intensity.     Abstract
    We report different morphologies of nanodroplets over various topographical features of the supporting substrates. The effects of different parameters such as the profile of the disjoining pressure, droplet size and the geometrical parameters are studied and discussed. Also, the effects of a coating layer on the surface of the substrate are determined. It is demonstrated that the nanodroplets at some positions are not stable and gradually move to more stable positions so that the system has less energy. For grooves this results in a series of morphology diagrams of the nanodroplets over the grooves as a function of the grooves' width and the liquid volume
