In this study, a numerical investigation is carried out to reveal the potential of obtaining uniform cooling on a planar surface by impinging jets in a turbulent flow regime using the SST k−ω turbulence model. Twin turbulent sweeping impinging jets (TTSIJ), as an idealization of an array of jets, are considered for heat transfer with the planar target surface. Abstract
Boundary stabilization of vibrating three-dimensional Cosserat elastic solids are studied using mathematical tools, such as operator theory and semigroup techniques. The advantages of the boundary control laws for both boundary stabilization problems are investigated. The boundary stabilization problems are studied using a Lyapunov stability method and LaSalle's invariant set theorem. In this paper an analytical method and a PDE-based solution to control temperature distribution in FGM plates is introduced. Utilizing the cold energy of liquefied natural gas can reduce the demand of burning fossil fuels for work production and employing refrigeration cycles for seawater desalination. A novel low-temperature cascade power generation cycle combined with a seawater freeze desalination system is proposed to retrieve the cold energy from liquified natural gas. Binary working fluids are utilized to decrease the irreversibilities of the power cycle and enhance the energy recovery efficiency. A novel intelligent semi-active control system for an eleven degrees of freedom passenger car's suspension system using magnetorheological (MR) damper with neuro-fuzzy (NF) control strategy to enhance desired suspension performance is proposed. We introduce a new smooth, non-toxic, biocompatible method for cross-linking of gum tragacanth (GT), a polysaccharide of natural origin, in order to serve as a new supporting matrix for immobilization systems. The modified gum is used as a matrix for the catalysis of the conversion of benzyl penicillin to 6-aminopenicillanic acid (6-APA) by means of Escherichia coli ATCC11105 with penicillin G acylase (PGA) activity.
