Abstract
A set W ⊆ V (G) is called a resolving set, if for each two distinct vertices u, v ∈ V (G) there exists w ∈ W such that d(u, w) ≠ d(v, w), where d(x, y) is the distance between the vertices x and y. A resolving set for G with minimum cardinality is called a metric basis. The forcing dimension f(G, dim) (or f(G)) of G is the smallest cardinality of a subset S ⊂ V (G) such that there is a unique basis containing S. Abstract
Using survey data, public awareness of and attitudes toward nanotechnology are examined in Iran (N ≥ 759). Iran is a developing country with a national nanotechnology action plan for a ten year period starting from 2003 and has been active in the field of research and development of nanotechnology meanwhile. First, the results show that majority of people are still not familiar with nanotechnology and perceived risks posed by this technology are not considered to be a lot and most people feel its benefits outweigh the risks. In this paper, a constitutive model with a temperature and strain rate dependent flow stress (Bergstrom hardening rule) and modified Armstrong-Frederick kinematic evolution equation for elastoplastic hardening materials is introduced. Abstract
In this paper based on the multiplicative decomposition of the deformation gradient, the plastic spin tensor and the plastic spin corotational rate are introduced. Using this rate (and also lograte), an elastic-plastic constitutive model for hardening materials are proposed. In this model, the Armstrong-Frederick kinematic hardening and the isotropic hardening equations are used. The proposed model is solved for the simple shear problem with the material properties of the stainless steel SUS 304. The results are compared with those obtained experimentally by Ishikawa [1]. The condition known as a water-hammer problem is a transient condition that may occur as a result of worst-case loadings, such as pump failures, valve closures, etc. in pipeline systems. The pressure in the water hammer can vary in such a way that in some cases it may increase and cause destruction to the hydraulic systems. Abstract
In this paper, a method for modeling of elastic-plastic hardening materials under large deformations is proposed. In this model the generalized strain rate tensor is used. Such a tensor is obtained on the basis of the method which was introduced by the authors. Based on the generalized strain rate tensor, a flow rule, a Prager-type kinematic hardening equation and a kinematic decomposition is proposed and the governing equations for such materials are obtained. The transverse free vibration of a class of variable-cross-section beams is investigated using the Wentzel, Kramers, Brillouin (WKB) approximation. Here the governing equation of motion of the Euler-Bernoulli beam including axial force distribution is utilized to obtain a singular differential equation in terms of the natural frequency of vibration and a WKB expansion series is applied to find the solution. Periodic metallic structures are known to support resonant extraordinary optical transmission (EOT). When covered with graphene, these structures can be employed to effectively manipulate the light. In this paper, we propose an analytical circuit model for graphene-covered 1-D metallic gratings. We experimentally demonstrate a circularly polarized antenna that utilizes unidirectional surface waves that propagate on the boundary of a small ferrite disk. The ferrite disk is metalized on top and is mounted on a grounded dielectric substrate. The disk is normally biased by a magnetic field that is provided by two permanent magnets below and above the structure. A two-section feeding network is used to feed the antenna. The operation frequency of the antenna can be adjusted by changing the magnitude of the applied magnetic bias. The effect of the nucleating agent masterbatch carrier resin on the nonisothermal crystallization of a pipe-grade polypropylene block copolymer was investigated at three different cooling rates using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). So many researchers have looked at different aspects of incorporating this additive on the crystallization behavior of PP.
