Abstract
Various EEG features have been used in depth of anesthesia (DOA) studies. The objective of this study was to And the excellent features or combination of them than can discriminate between different anesthesia states. Conducting a clinical study on 22 patients we could define 4 distinct anesthetic states: awake, moderate, general anesthesia, and isoelectric. We examined features that have been used in earlier studies using single-channel EEG signal processing method. The maximum accuracy (99.02%) achieved using approximate entropy as the feature. Abstract
Protein mass spectra pattern recognition is a new forum in which many machine learning algorithms have been conducted to enhance the chance of early cancer diagnosis. The high-dimensionality-small-sample (HDSS) problem of cancer proteomic datasets still requires more sophisticated approaches to improve the classification accuracy. In this study we present a simple ensemble strategy based on measuring the generalizing capability of different subsets of training data and apply it in making final decision. Parameters of the PC-SAFT Equation of State (EoS) for pure components are generally determined by matching the saturation pressure and liquid density experimental data. These experimental data are unavailable for petroleum cuts and plus fractions of the petroleum reservoir fluids. In this work, new correlations as functions of specific gravity and molecular weight were developed to estimate the PC-SAFT parameters of petroleum cuts with unknown composition. In this work, a new automatic workflow for accurate optimal pseudo-component generation from gas condensate mixtures with a large number of components is presented. This workflow has a good insight into thermo-physical and critical properties and introduces only a small amount of loss of information and EOS flexibility. Energy storage and supply in solar thermal collector systems rely heavily on phase change materials (PCM). It is vital to establish the appropriate values for energy discharge time (tPCM) and net amount of stored energy (Qnet) within the PCMs in order to increase the efficiency of solar thermal collectors. For this study, we implemented a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition (MOEA/D) for the optimization process using the MATLAB simulator software. We introduce a new smooth, non-toxic, biocompatible method for cross-linking of gum tragacanth (GT), a polysaccharide of natural origin, in order to serve as a new supporting matrix for immobilization systems. The modified gum is used as a matrix for the catalysis of the conversion of benzyl penicillin to 6-aminopenicillanic acid (6-APA) by means of Escherichia coli ATCC11105 with penicillin G acylase (PGA) activity.
