Abstract
This study explores the problem of multimodal information retrieval in English and Persian, with a particular focus on electronic commerce where users often search for products using textual or visual queries. To enable multimodal retrieval in Persian, a Persian CLIP model (Contrastive Language-Image Pretraining) was trained. The training dataset was constructed from multiple sources, including machine-translated English corpora, web-crawled Persian data from the Divar platform, and user search and click logs from the Torob marketplace. Abstract
Semantic classification of words based on unsupervised learning methods is a challenging issue in computational lexical semantics. The goal of this field of study is to recognize the words that are in the same semantic classes; i.e., can have the same set of arguments. Among all word categories, verb is known as one the most important and is assumed as the central part of the sentence in certain linguistic theories such as case grammar and dependency grammar. In this paper, we consider the bacterial point-to-point communication problem with one transmitter and one receiver by considering the ligand receptor binding process. Abstract
Titania was deposited on glass fibers with a partial epoxy layer coating from a solution containing TiO2 nanoparticles at T = 90°C, and the adsorption process was examined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and photocatalytic activity measurements. XPS data demonstrated that about 25% of the surface was covered with TiO2 nanoparticles, with 10% on the epoxy layer and 15% on the glass body. Abstract
Structural, half-metallic, magneto-optic, and thermoelectric properties of CrTiZ (Z = As, P) half-Heusleres compounds are investigated based on density functional theory. These compounds have mechanical stability in the ferromagnetic state with a high bulk modulus. They are often half-metallic with a large and integer magnetic moment and are very attractive in spintronics, magneto-optics applications. The magnetic moments of CrTiAs and CrTiP were 2.9865 μB and 3.00 μB, respectively, which were attributed to their ferromagnetic phase. The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of speed and direction of current on ship fuel consumption. A KCS benchmark model has been numerically studied in calm water and fourteen current and wind conditions with the same speed and different directions to determine how the ship performance is dependent on flow conditions. Ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs) have been described to have positive effects on the gait biomechanics in stroke patients. The plantarflexion resistance of an AFO is considered important for hemiplegic patients, but the evidence is still limited. The purpose of this case series was to design and evaluate the immediate effect of an articulated AFO on kinematics and kinetics of lower-limb joints in stroke patients. Generalization error bounds are essential for comprehending how well machine learning models work. In this work, we suggest a novel method, i.e., the Auxiliary Distribution Method, that leads to new upper bounds on expected generalization errors that are appropriate for supervised learning scenarios. The LTI-Poisson model is a natural extension of the conventional memoryless Poisson channel to include memory, and can model the ISI effect in diffusion based molecular communication networks. In this paper, we exploit prior art on linear ISI channels to provide a computable finite-letter characterization of the capacity of single-hop LTI-Poisson networks. Then we find more explicit single-letter lower and upper bounds on the capacity in the point to point case. Purpose: The morphological stability of silicon single crystal wafers was investigated, after performing cleaning surface treatments based on moderate temperature annealing and plasma sputtering. Methods: The wafer surfaces were measured by Tapping mode atomic force microscopy in air, before and after the different treatments.
