This article works with performance improvement of the conventional combined cooling/power (CCP) cycles to augment energy and exergy efficiencies of the previous systems. For this target, a conceptual configuration of cascade ejector refrigeration system (CERS) is proposed and is joined with organic Rankine cycle (ORC) to generate power and cooling outputs. Feasibility investigation of a humidification dehumidification (HDH) desalination system driven by an absorption-compression heat pump cycle (ACHPC) is carried out in this paper. The proposed hybrid desalination system uses both heating capacity of the discharged brine as a waste heat for the ACHPC and mechanical power of the ACHPC for the HDH system. Abstract
In the present study, enhancing the heat transfer is experimentally investigated by the electro-hydrodynamics (EHD) through a single-pass air-cooled PV/T (Photovoltaic/Thermal System). The corona wind increases the heat transfer coefficient by producing a secondary flow and vortex, and consequently, increases the PV/T system efficiency. The effects of the corona wind are studied by changing the voltage values and the flow rates in the air channel. This paper deals with reconstruction of conventional combined cooling and power (CCCP) cycle for producing simultaneous power and cooling outputs for triple applications of freezing, refrigeration and air-conditioning. The proposed systems are integrated from organic Rankine cycles (ORCs) and an ejector refrigeration cycle (ERC).
