    Pore facies analysis plays an important role in the classification of reservoir rocks and reservoir simulation studies. The current study proposes a two-step approach for pore facies characterization in the carbonate reservoirs with an example from the Kangan and Dalan formations in the South Pars gas field.     In this study a 2D cubic chamber model filled with paraffin is analyzed with and without the inclusion of magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles at concentrations of 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 wt%, and an external magnetic field of intensities 0.005, 0.01, 0.015 and 0.02 T. It is ascertained that adding magnetic nanoparticles leads the horizontal temperature gradient to be reduced owing to increments in thermal conductivity.     Various parameters affect thermal conductivity of nanofluid; however, some of them are more influential such as temperature, size and type of nano particles and volumetric concentration. In this study, artificial neural network as well as least square support vector machine (LSSVM) are applied in order to predict thermal conductivity ratio of alumina/water nanofluid as a function of particle size, temperature and volumetric concentration.     Abstract
    We prepared copper-carbon nanocomposite films by co-deposition of RF-Sputtering and RF-PECVD methods at room temperature. These films contain different copper concentration and different size of copper nanoparticles. The copper content of these films was obtained from Rutherford Back Scattering (RBS) analyze. We studied electrical resistivity of samples versus copper content. A metal-nonmetal transition was observed by decreasing of copper content in these films.     The binding of Mg 2+, Ca 2+, Zn 2+ and Cu + metal cations to 2′-deoxyguanosine has been analyzed, using the hybrid B3LYP, Density Functional Theory (DFT) method and 6311++G(d,p) orbital basis sets. Coordination geometries, absolute metal ion affinities, and free energies for the most stable complexes formed by Mg 2+, Ca 2+, Zn 2+ and Cu + with the nucleoside, 2′-deoxyguanosine, have been determined.     Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d, p) level to determine coordination geometries, absolute metal ion affinities, and free energies for all possible complexation stable products formed by monovalent metal cations including Li+, Na+, K+ with the nucleoside 2'-Deoxyguanosine. All computations indicate that the metal ion affinity (MIA) decreases on going from Li+ to Na+ and K+ for 2'-Deoxyguanosine.     This paper presents a numerical investigation into the static behavior of stepped soil nail walls constructed in dry sandy soils. The finite element method was used to study influence of wall geometry and soil parameters on behavior of the walls. We analyzed walls with heights of 10, 15, and 20 m. This study shows that the wall deformation and the nail tensile forces of the stepped soil nail wall are smaller than those of the typical soil nail wall. If properties of soils such as friction angle, cohesion, and elastic modulus decrease, more decrease in the wall lateral displacement and nail tensile forces of a stepped soil nail wall would occur.     Abstract
    Separation of the effects of initial horizontal stress and relative density on cone tip resistance in sandy soils has been a complicated issue for many years. In order to overcome this problem, a numerical modeling of CPT which has been verified by calibration chamber tests, has been used in this paper to achieve a reliable analytical solution. The analytical solution has resulted in two relationships for sleeve friction and cone tip resistance in terms of the initial conditions of sandy soil. Based on the presented solution, the initial horizontal stress and relative density can be determined according to CPT measurements. © 2017 Elsevier Ltd

    Routing is a very important matter for ad hoc networks which means choosing the suitable and correct path for transferring data from a source node to a destination node. Today, the methods using several paths for routing are attended very much. In this paper, a new plan in multiple paths On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing is presented which its routing is based on the distance of nodes from the center of the network.
