    The rapid expansion of urban and intercity railway networks in recent years has made the control of train-induced ground vibrations a critical issue in infrastructure design and environmental comfort. These vibrations, which mainly propagate as Rayleigh surface waves in shallow soil layers, can cause discomfort to residents, malfunction of sensitive equipment, and even long-term structural damage to nearby buildings.     Strong Convergence of the Finite Element Method for Stochastic Partial Differential Equations with Additive Noise

    We study linear and semilinear stochastic evolution partial differential equations driven by additive noise. We present a general and flexible framework for representing the infinite dimensional Wiener process, which drives the equation. The equation is discretized in space by a standard piecewise linear finite element method. We show how to obtain error estimates when the truncated expansion is used in the equation.     Stray capacitance of transformer winding is an important parasitic element influencing the behavior of the switching power converters, especially for high-voltage transformers. There are various methods for calculating the stray capacitance in transformers and inductors with ordered windings. However, an ordered winding is less likely with an increased number of turns and layers.     We introduce two Gentzen-style sequent calculus axiomatizations for conservative extensions of basic propositional logic. Our first axiomatization is an ipmrovement of [1], in the sense that it has a kind of the subformula property and is a slight modification of [6]. In this system the cut rule is eliminated. The second axiomatization is a classical conservative extension of basic propositional logic.     We study the interplay between the Kitaev and Ising interactions on a ladder geometry. We show that the ground state of the Kitaev ladder is a symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phase, which is protected by a Z2×Z2 symmetry. The nature of the SPT phase is confirmed by degeneracy of the entanglement spectrum. Nonlocal order parameters that indirectly measure phase factors (inequivalent projective representations of the symmetries) of the Z2×Z2 symmetry explicitly show the protection of the SPT phase under the Z2×Z2 symmetry.     Line nanopatterns are produced on the positive photoresist by scanning near-field optical microscope (SNOM). A laser diode with a wavelength of 450 nm and a power of 250 mW as the light source and an aluminum coated nanoprobe with a 70 nm aperture at the tip apex have been employed. A neutral density filter has been used to control the exposure power of the photoresist. It is found that the changes induced by light in the photoresist can be detected by in situ shear force microscopy (ShFM), before the development of the photoresist.
