Abstract
It is known that discrete scale invariance leads to log-periodic corrections to scaling. We investigate the correlations of a system with discrete scale symmetry, discuss in detail possible extension of this symmetry such as translation and inversion, and find general forms for correlation functions. © 2003 Published by Elsevier Science B.V

Gastpar and Vetterli named the adhoc networks with one randomly selected source-destination pair as relay networks and they suggested using arbitrary network coding in order to increase the overall efficiency Here, the relay network is investigated with two relays and no interference and a new achievable rate is obtained using a new network coding (decodeand-broadcast). Abstract
Spam mails are unwanted mails sent to large number of users. Spam mails not only consume the network resources, but cause security threats as well. This paper proposes an efficient technique to detect, and to prevent spam mail in the sender side rather than the receiver side. This technique is based on a counter set on the sender server. When a mail is transmitted to the server, the mail server checks the number of the recipients based on its counter policy. The counter policy performed by the mail server is based on some pre-defined criteria. In the sleep mode, a Mobile Subscribe Station (MSS) sleeps for a sleep interval and wakes up at the end of this interval in order to check buffered packet(s) at Base Station (BS) destined to it. If there is no packet, the MSS increases the sleep window up to the maximum value or keeps it unchanged and sleeps again. In this paper, we study the effect of presence of multi service connections with different power saving classes (PSCs) on power consumption for IEEE 802.16e nodes while operating in the sleep mode. Abstract
This study presents and analyses a novel joint detection and parameters estimation of multiple targets using a co-located multiple input/multiple output radar with moving platform, in the presence of clutter and background noise. A notable feature of the proposed approach is that clutter cancellation is independent of received data. Moreover, to decrease the computational load, the authors propose to perform the target detection and parameters estimation by directly processing on the compressive measurements as opposed to Nyquist samples. © The Institution of Engineering and Technology

To achieve this, barium titanate nanoplatelets (BTNPs) were incorporated at varying weight percentages into a PVDF matrix. This letter adopts an atomistic modeling approach to study free vibrational characteristics of C60, C70, and C80 fullerenes. In this regard, we use the molecular structural mechanics consisting of equivalent structural beams to calculate the nonzero natural frequencies. Abstract
A finite element technique is used to mimic radial deformation of single-walled carbon nanotubes under hydrostatic pressure. The elastic deformation of nanotubes is modeled via elastic beams. Properties of the beam element are evaluated by considering characteristics of the covalent bonds between the carbon atoms in a hexagonal lattice. Applying the beam model in a three dimensional space, the elastic properties of the nanotube in the transverse direction are evaluated. The effects of diameter and wall thickness on the radial and circumferential elastic moduli of zigzag and armchair nanotubes are considered.
